What is Croà na Laoi? Croà Na Laoi is a Rural Development Co-Operative Society which was founded in Uibh Laoire parish in 1996. Following a public meeting held on 10th February last, a new committee of 20 people was formed. The objective of this new Croà na Laoi is to renew and market the parish of Uibh Laoire and promote it as a vibrant, beautiful place to live in.
A small amount of Funding is available from Grant Agencies such as Leader, the County Council and Enterprise Boards to groups that have worthwhile projects to promote the parish with regard to Tourism and Arts & Crafts.
Croà na Laoi hopes to avail of this funding initially for:
- Village Clean up
- On-line Website
- New Signs at the entrances to Inchigeela village
- Development of the Island as a well maintained, safe, local amenity for all of us and visitors alike to enjoy.
There will be a clean-up of Inchigeela village on this coming Friday, Good Friday, 18/4/14. Club members are encouraged to meet at the local hall between 9.30-10am to lend a hand with this clean-up. Bring gloves and any other cleaning utensils you may have.
Please support Croà Na Laoi in it's endeavours. Itâs so important for all our futures to renew Uibh Laoire parish.
