Cathal Visits Schools With Cups   25/10/2013

On Friday last, Iveleary & Cork footballer, Cathal Vaughan was welcomed to both Kilbarry and Inchigeela National Schools. Cathal was not arriving empty handed however - he was also bearing silverware in the Munster and All-Ireland Junior Football Cups which he won with Cork Juniors this year.

Cathal played a starring role in a variety of positions across the forward line for Cork and it was a great honour for the club to welcome home an All Ireland winner.

Both Kilbarry and Inchigeela National Schools went to great effort on the day as they had flags raised and donned the red & white of both Cork and Iveleary to welcome Cathal. The kids were delighted with his arrival and all got a chance to raise both cups and get an autograph from their local hero. Both Cathal & Club Chairman John O'Callaghan spoke to the kids about achieving success in any future path they decide to go down & also about enjoying their sport.

The club would like to thank both schools for their welcome and effort on the day. Hopefully we'll see more days like this in years to come.

More photos of the day can be viewed in the 'Photo Gallery'.
