Double Delight for Under 13 Hurlers   06/04/2017

The two Under 13 boys teams played home and away hurling fixtures on Saturday afternoon with team 1 hosting Lucan Sarsfields at Páirc Ui Bhriain and team 2 making the long trip north of the Pale to O'Dwyers of Balbriggan.   This team were hoping to avenge the defeat dealt to team 1 in the hurling league last month.

Team 1 took to the field first and set about the task in hand from the off, scoring 2:3 in the first half to Lucan's 2 points. The second half saw the Naomh Olaf lads take up where they had left off in the first half and attacking the Lucan goal, scoring a series of goals to Lucan's one point. Olafs went on to win the game on a scoreline of 8:10 to 0:3. Following the game the team were presented with their league winning medals of 2016 by Tommy Brown, the senior hurling manager.

Team 2, with support from a number of Under 11 players, were looking to maintain their one hundred percent winning record as they took to the field mid afternoon in Balbriggan to face the hurlers from O'Dwyers.  The Naomh Olaf lads ground out a solid win taking the game on a scoreline of 2:2 to 6:4 - a convincing win.  Team 2 are now top of division 7 on full points. An-mhaith a bhuachaillí.
