Summer Camps

This year’s Summer Camps take place from Monday 1st to Friday 5th July (football) and 8th to 12th July (hurling and camogie). Application Forms can be downloaded from our website  here. Please note the closing date for applications is 22nd June and after this we cannot take any more. Our numbers are strictly limited so don’t be disappointed, get the forms in early.

Pitch Advertising – Direct debit option

The Department of Advertising and Promotional Opportunities of the club has just launched a new way to allow businesses advertise on our main pitch in Páirc Barróg. For an initial set-up fee of €150 and subsequent monthly payments of €65 you can advertise your business through a 1m x 4m pitch sign. You just have to send through your logo or artwork and our Creative Department will look after the rest.

For further information or to book your pitch sign please contact Tadhg on 086 7802587. If you know any business that you think might be interested in the offer, please let us know.

Saturday Night is Garrison Games Night!

Saturday night sees the Final of the Europa Cup between two English teams, Arsenal and Chelsea. In an unusual twist on the usual ‘local derby’ encounter, both teams will take the tube to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan (not sure if the Oyster card will cover that) to play out a thrilling encounter in front of a stadium packed to the rafters with their travelling fans. You too can take a seat to Baku without leaving the comfort of the Áras. We’ll have promotions on the night and all are welcome.

Mini Leagues

Mini Leagues continue this Saturday at 10am in Páirc Bharróg. The New Players’ Parents Group will be manning the information desk to help people find out where to go and what to do.

Entertainment in the Áras

We have a month of tributes in June, starting this Sunday 2nd with Ed Sheeran and including Garth Brooks (for the culchies), George Michael, Elvis and Motown. Something for everyone, except metal and jazz heads maybe but if that's what you want contact the Groove Committee at their  facetube page

Ticket book

The ticket book for the Dublin V Galway Leinster Senior Hurling Championship match in Parnell Park on Saturday 15th June is now open at the bar in Áras Bharróg. The ticket book for the Dublin v Longford or Kildare Leinster football semi-final on 9th June is also currently open but will close on Thursday at 12pm midnight! That means there is only one night to get your name on the list, tonight! This is because DCB only told us yesterday that they wanted ticket orders in on Friday morning.

Pop-Up Gaeltacht

Beidh an chéad Pop Up Gaeltacht eile againne ar siúl ar an Déardaoin 20ú Meitheamh. Agus cogar a chairde, tá an Bayside Inn ag eagrú blaiseadh beoir Birra Moretti dúinn ar an oíche agus ag cur slisíní píotsa ar fáil saor in aisce. Ár mbuíochas dóibh!

Our next Pop Up Gaeltacht will take place on Thursday 20th June. And a little birdie tells me the Bayside Inn are organising Birra Moretti beer tasting for us on the night and are providing free pizza slices. Well done to them!

Anyone who remembers the 100km Sponsored Cycle we held in the club a few years ago will remember it as a great coming together of the different elements of the club and the inspiration for the Naomh Barróg Cycling Club. Well, oil up your sprockets and cranks cos it's happening again! Watch this and all the other spaces for upcoming details.

There was no winner of last week’s Lotto Jackpot of €2,000 so tomorrow night’s is €2,200. Play online  here for your chance to buy one of  these

Is mise,
