St. Patricks compete as a junior side in both the league and championship. In September 2008, Jason Callaghan, Michael Farissey, Shane Caulfield, John Kenyon and Adrian Taylor decided to get together to form a club in Chester. Although we are aware of clubs already established in Manchester and Liverpool, we felt it was important to form a club in Chester as it would offer those who are interested in playing Gaelic Football from Chester, The Wirral, North Wales, Cheshire, Ellesmere Port and the surrounding boroughs a chance to play rather than travelling lengths such as Manchester or Liverpool. We would also gratefully welcome interest from both Liverpool and Manchester and anyone who finds themselves on the fringes of teams should get in contact.

History

The club crest includes the symbol of St Werburgh (the Patron Saint of Chester) on the right, on the left, there is an image of the Eastgate Clock, a famous landmark situated in the centre of Chester, on the right there is an image of Saint Patrick (Patron Saint of Ireland) and on the bottom, there is the old GAA logo of the Celtic Cross. Each of these logos are separated by the red diagonal lines which make up St Patricks Cross.
