Munster Junior Footballer of the Year - Conor Cox (Ciarraí)
On his day, the 23 year old Listowel Emmets clubman has been one of the county’s most prolific scorers since he first donned the Kerry jersey as a Minor back in 2010. He graduated to the Under 21 team in 2012 and 2013 and also made his AFL debut in 2013.
Winner of a Sigerson Cup last year with UCC, Cox turned in some outstanding performances this year being the chief scorer as Kerry collected their 16th title in the Junior grade. Scorer of a modest two points in the opening game against Tipperary, the Listowel native displayed his wide array of scoring talents in the Munster final against Cork, scoring 1-7, the goal from a penalty, 4 points from play, 2 points from frees and another from a “45”. In all, he scored 3-15 in Kerry’s four games as he collected his second Junior medal having also been on the 2012 team when Kerry defeated Mayo.
