Garvey’s SuperValu Senior Hurling Championship gets underway this weekend

Round 1 of the 2016 Garvey’s Supervalu Kerry senior hurling championship [Corn Neilus Ó Floinn] will take place over the coming weekend. The competition commences on Saturday, 25th June at 7.00p.m.when Crotta play Abbeydorney at Ballyduff.
On Sunday, 26th, there will be a double bill at Abbeydorney. Reigning champions Kilmoyley meet Ballyduff at 12.00p.m. (note time change) and St. Brendan’s take on Ballyheigue at 4.30p.m. (Note change of time) Later that evening the action moves to Kilmoyley where Causeway play Lixnaw at 7.00p.m.
Round 2 will take place on the weekend of 10th July; Round 3 weekend 24th July; semi-finals on 14th August and the final on Sunday, 11th Sept.
While Round 1 of the Championship will see the games played at North Kerry venues due to the unavailability of Austin Stack Park which stages the national Féile finals this weekend, at the request of the hurling clubs, Round 2, where possible, and the remaining rounds of the competition will be played at the Tralee venue.
