Great Excitement as Gaelic 4 Girls starts next Monday 11th April 2016-04-09 20:48:00

Ballincollig Ladies Gaelic Football club are hosting an exciting new programme called Gaelic4Girls which starts next Monday, 11th April from 5.30 to 6.30 in Ballincollig GAA for 8 weeks. It is open to all girls aged between 8-12 years who are not registered with a Ladies Gaelic Football team and is focused on fun and participation, allowing girls to get an introduction to Ladies Gaelic Football in a non-competitive environment. All participants will get a G4G jersey and certificate on completion after 8 weeks. This is the first Gaelic4Girls programme to be held in the area and all girls from Ballincollig and the surrounding areas are encouraged to attend and learn the basic skills of Ladies Gaelic Football. This is a great way to make new friends and learn a new sport!  The cost for the entire programme is only €8.

Ballincollig LGFA were delighted to be one of only two clubs in Cork chosen to host this fun, energy driven programme.  Our primary aim in Ballincollig LGFA is for all girls to be included in sport, regardless of their ability -while getting fit, making new friends and having great fun!  We acknowledge that not all young girls are super-sporty and may be slow to give new sports a go -that is why this Gaelic4 Girls programme is superb.  It’s all about fun, fun, fun while at the same time getting an hour of exercise in the fresh air and mixing with girls from all the primary schools in the area.  That’s a winning combination for us!

If you have any queries, be sure and give Maria a call at 086-1582492. Looking forward to seeing everyone next Monday!
