Very successful Castlelyons Camogie AGM. Castlelyons Camogie Club held an excellent AGM on Tuesday 24th November in the Community Centre. There was a wide range of matters discussed as the Club reviewed both the various teams’ successes and many individual players who represented Cork and Imokilly. Castlelyons lose out yet again at final level and this time to Courcey Rovers.Castlelyons 1-18 Courcey Rovers 1-19We all headed for Páirc Uí Chaoimh last Saturday evening in confident mood. We lost the final last year to Blarney after injury to Colm Spillane in the opening minutes. PIHC Final versus Courcey Rovers in the Páirc this Saturday at 5pm.Well, it is off to the Páirc again on Saturday evening for another county final. This time the PIHC final against old rivals Courcey Rovers. It was back in 1985 Balinspittle became a famous place as the crowds flocked to the place to see the moving statue. Maybe this helped the games down there as Courcey Rovers made up of Ballinspittle and Ballinadee have really become a big club in recent years.
