Ballygunner advanced to the AIB Munster Senior Hurling Club final yesterday when they overcame Clare champions Cratloe in a hard fought semi-final at Walsh Park.
I a close affair throughout Ballygunner had to pull out all the stops in the last quarter to finally pull clear. It took a Barry Mullane goal on 57 minutes to make the tie secure and open up a five point gap. Even then Cratloe refused to lie down and they narrowed the gap to two points in the remaining minutes.
Ballygunner will now play Newtownshandrum of Cork in the final on Sunday week 29th November.
