Ballygunner & Lismore senior hurlers must meet again to decide the 2009 senior hurling championship.
In a thrill a minute game both teams had their chances to snatch victory but in the end a draw was a fair result.
Lismore led by ten points after 25 minutes of the first half after a blistering start. Ballygunner steadied the ship and a goal & a point just before the break reduced the deficet to a manageable six points.
On the resumption, Lismore again kicked on but three goals in a ten minute spell put Ballygunner right in contention. Lismore again hit the front.
It took an injury free from veteran Paul Flynn to rescue Ballygunner with a flawless strike from a difficult position.
So its back to Walsh park again next Saturday (4pm) for another instalment and if its as good as this one the fans will be very happy.
