Previous Special Olympics History:

Ireland has had a great representation at Special Olympics World Games - having hosted the games in Ireland in 2003, Ireland had official representation at the SO Games in China in 2007 with Pamela O’Donnell & Alan Gormally.  In 2011 in Greece, Ireland had 3 volleyball officials at the World Games - Pamela O’Donnell, Alan Gormally & Gerry Reynolds.  At the last SO World Games that were held in LA in 2011, Ireland had 3 volleyball officials as part of the team - Alan Gormally & Kate Holliman as volleyball referees and Pamela O’Donnell was the Assistant Technical Delegate for Volleyball. Hopefully Ireland will continue the representation as volleyball officials at the Abu Dhabi games in March 2019, continuing the fantastic legacy that started in Ireland in 2003.
