U18 DARCY CUP FINAL - Naas 42 Navan 10   27/04/2019

Naas Under-18s claimed a great victory in the Darcy Cup Final against Navan last Saturday, when a superb second half display saw them run out comfortable victors.

They went into this game with high hopes having defeated the likes of Gorey and Wexford on the way to the final, but a nervous start saw them only 6-3 in front at the interval despite playing with a strong breeze - Jamie Osborne successful with twopenalities.

However they turned on the style in the second half. Another Osborne penalty extended the lead before Naas really opened up and added tries by Sean O’Rourke, Sean Farrell, Kaelan Burke, Adam Keating and Conor Parsons. With Osborne converting four of those Naas ran out comfortable and totally deserving 42-10 winners over a Navan side that to their credit never stopped trying.

Naas Squad: Carl Early, Mark Gorman, Jim Downey, Pat Corrigan, Kaelan Burke, Aaron Burke, Adam Keating, Ben Noone, Sean O’Rourke, Mark Tully, Jamie Osborne, Niall Smith, Scott Dignam, Shane Penrose, Ewan MacGabhann, Danny Walsh, Conor Parsons, Harry Smith, Conor Kelly, Sean Farrell, Oisin O’Rourke, Michael Curran, John Parker Crowe. Coaches: Johnny Sheehan, Joe Colfer, Joey Moran. Manager: Alan Burke.
