Ballinderreen Hurling Club AGM Report

The AGM of Ballinderreen hurling Club took place on Sunday December 2nd in the Community Centre in Ballinderreen. The chairman Tom Quinn welcomed those present at the AGM and held a minute’s silence for parishioners who had passed away during the year including former club patron Fr. Alf O’Halloran.The chairman thanked his fellow officers, executive committee and team managers for their work during the year. The Hurling Club AGM took place Sunday the 25th of November and overall it was a upbeat and productive meeting with a very positive outcome. The meeting was opened by the Chairman, Brian Griffin who asked for a minutes silence to remember those who were bereaved in the last year. Brian asked the Club President, Brendan Geraghty to address the meeting. Brendan thanked all the Club Officers for their work in 2012 and hoped that 2013 would be a good year for Abbey. Craughwell GAA will be holding an auction this Sunday the 25th of November. Larger items can be viewed at the clubhouse from 11am to 2pm at the clubhouse. The auction will start at 2pm in Cheevers lounge. All are welcome, with a wide variation of items. Craughwell GAA Juvenile Committee organized an U-7/U-8 Hurling Tournament in the clubs training ground yesterday, Sunday the 23rd of September. There was 7 Clubs invited (Athenry, Clarinbridge, Ardrahan, Kilconieron, Turloughmore, Oranmore-Maree & Kilnadeemna/Leitrim).The weather was perfect for the event, and the pitches were in great condition to hold the matches. There was a great day in the Craughwell training pitches on Sunday the 16th of September. It was an early start for the organisers, and thankfully the weather held out for the event. Craughwell U-8 & U-10 Hurlers travel to Kilmacud

Craughwell U8 & U10 Hurlers travel to Kilmacud Crokes this Sunday to play in a number of games, with over 40 players, and 67 kids in all and 45 Adults it promises to be a great day out. Two buses will be leaving early@ 7.30am at the Hall. Afterwards they will be heading to Croke Park to lend their voices in support of our Senior Hurlers, afterwards they plan to stop off in Supermacs.
