Since graduating from the University of Ulster Coleraine with a BA (Honours) Degree in International Business Studies, Clare has acquired a broad range of management skills working across the public sector, sports sector and voluntary and community sector for in excess of 10 years.
Having joined Netball Northern Ireland in November 2009, Clare brings substantial experience to the role of Executive Manager, having previously held a senior management position with Castlereagh Borough Council working as the Community Services Manager.
Clare headed up the community development department, managing 13 direct staffing reports across a range of disciplines; Sport, Arts, Facilities, Community Development and Good Relations, developing skills and experience in Strategic Planning, Operational Programming, Human Resource Management, Facilities Management, Capital Build Management, Grant Aid Management and Financial Management. Clare is also a qualified Prince 2 Practitioner.
Clare retired from playing Netball in March 2010 aged 28, 18 years after first playing in primary school, having played for 4 Clubs; Ballyclare Ladies, Belfast Ladies, Graduates and Westside. She also represented the Northern Irish Universities Team at 3 British University Games.
