Clubnotes 3rd November 2017   03/11/2017

The Junior (or Killer) B’s won their last game of the season by 4:07 to 0:18 v St Sylvester’s. Best for Barróg was Sean Dornan who was immense at full back. Honourable mentions also to Aidan Carroll, Karl Spelman and Joey Walsh.

Well done to the Inter footballers on a great win over Naomh Fionnbarra in the Bogies last weekend. Having been beaten by ‘Barrs twice this year in league and championship Barróg were finally able to walk away with a win when it really mattered. A late goal by Ciarán ‘Chief’ Gallagher when two points down in ám breise was the penultimate action of the match; the kick-out was followed by the whistle and everybody came home to the parish happy. The lads continue their quest for promotion back to Division 2 and the Senior ranks on Sunday 12th when they are away to Ballyboughal

Hard luck to the Adult Camogie team who were narrowly beaten by Na Fianna in the Championship final on Monday. They say that narrow defeats, especially when the win is within your grasp, are what drives teams on and I’m sure the girls will take this on board for next year. Well done on another great year to everyone involved. It’s great for the younger girls to have someone they can emulate and something to aspire to

Well done to the U21 hurlers who had a great win over O’Toole’s in the Championship first round, attention now moves to the next round against Naomh Olaf, venue TBC. Congrats to all involved.

Ken Kirwan is playing the sounds in the Árena on Saturday night so boogie on down.

Mini Leagues are back!!! We’re into the final run-in before Christmas so get the Child of Prague out into the garden every Friday from now on.

The mentor’s meeting takes place on Wednesday at 9pm and we need all teams to make an effort to send a representative.

There was no winner of last night’s Lotto Jackpot, numbers drawn were 6, 8, 9 & 24. Next week’s jackpot will be €7,600.
