Clubnotes 12th June 2017   15/06/2017

Lip Sync training is up and running, as are the fundraising events. Already we’ve had a Curry Night organised by the Under 8 boys’ mentors and this Friday the Under 10 girls are organising a Juvenile Disco for 6 to 12 year olds in the Áras from 6pm - 8:15 pm with DJ Paddy, sweetshop and spot prizes. Entry is €5.

Saturday morning will also be a sweet affair with a Cake Sale for Lip Sync run by the Adult and Minor ladies football and camogie teams as well as a raffle in aid of the girls/ladies section for great prizes of Lidl vouchers for €100, €60 and €40 (donated to the club by the Ladies Gaelic Football Association) as well as many more. Tickets can be bought in the bar, from team mentors or when you're lorryin' into sticky buns and tae on Saturday morning!

On Saturday 24th there’ll be a Static Cycle for Lip Sync at Centra in Greendale Shopping Centre from 9am till 6pm. We need volunteers to take a spin for an hour at a time so contact Peter Fitzgerald on 087 138 7272 to organise a slot.

One of the ways to bring in money is through advertisements in the brochure on the night. These start at €150 per page and are a great way for local businesses to reach a local audience.

Tickets for Lip Sync are available in the club every Saturday morning in the tea shop as well as behind the bar or from any of the committee members.

And speaking of tickets, Dublin’s next day out in Croke Park will be to meet the winners of Uíbh Fáile agus Íar Mhí on Sunday 25th June. The ticket book is now open in Áras Bharróg and will close on Sunday evening.

Remember that Lip Sync and all the related fundraising is to refurbish the all-weather pitch which every team avails of, from Mini Leagues to Senior.

The Summer Camps are drawing closer and so is the 24th June deadline. Please register before then, forms are accepted on Saturday mornings but if you can’t make it down talk to your child’s team mentor. Forms are available in the clubhouse and from the Downloads page on the website.

Well done to the Junior hurlers on two good recent wins in league and championship.

A reminder to players and managers that in respect of the player's injury schemes, there is a limited window for processing these claims from the date of injury and that all injuries should be reported to the referee on the day for inclusion in the match report. All claims should be notified to Vincent Potter at the earliest possible opportunity and the relevant claim form completed and submitted to the county board within the specified time frame or the claim will not be entertained by the insurers.

The Intermediate footballers take on Fingallians in Lawless Park at 19:30 on Wednesday and St Peregrine’s in Páirc Bharróg on Saturday at 18:30.

The mentor’s meeting takes place on Wednesday at 9pm and every team is expected to send a representative.

Our old pals The Rattling Kind will be giving it everything on Saturday night in the Áras. A great band with local talent who always put on a great show.

Mini Leagues continue on Saturday morning at 10am. The club shop will be open and you can register for the Summer Camps. Remember, there will be a limit on numbers this year so register early.

There was no winner of last week's Lotto Jackpot; numbers drawn were 1, 2, 13 & 23. This week’s Jackpot will be €3,400.
