Coralstown – Kinnegad

Half Time: Confey 1-04, Foxrock-Cabinteely 2-12

Full Time: Confey 1-07, Foxrock-Cabinteely 4-17

An Amy Ring 2-13 haul inspired Foxrock-Cabinteely to their third Leinster Senior title in a row in Coralstown Kinnegad on Sunday afternoon.

Fox-Cab were 2-12 to 1-04 ahead at the break thanks to goals from Hannah O'Neill and Niamh Collins and an incredible ten points (including four frees) from Captain Ring. The reigning champions continued their dominance in the second half with Ring contributing a further 2-03, including a penalty and three frees.

To their credit, Confey never gave up and Rachel Divilly (0-04, 4f) and Aine Gately (1-02) were their top scorers while their goalkeeper Mairead Scanlon was in top form, denying the Fox Cab forwards on multiple occasions.

The full time whistle brought an end to three wonderful games of football in Kinnegad as Foxrock Cabinteely won on a 4-17 to 1-07 scoreline. Leinster President, Finbarr O’Driscoll presented Amy Ring with the Player of the Match accolade before also presenting her with the Bill Daly Cup.

Foxrock-Cabinteely will now go on to face Mourneabbey, Cork Champions in the All Ireland semi-final on the weekend of the 18th/19th November.

Leinster LGFA Council extends their condolences to Peter Clarke and his family on their loss this week and the match was preceded by an impeccably observed minute's silence. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.
