Hi all,

 

Yesterday’s Club Family Morning went off brilliantly despite the typical Irish rain paying us a visit!    We hope you all enjoyed it.  Over 250 people attended – an outstanding turnout!  (including Adults and Children)!

 

Jimmy Barry Murphy and Ray Cummins, our special guests were very impressed with Kinsale GAA and commented on a number of occasions on the huge numbers of children playing and the real community spirit and commitment by all within the club!  Jimmy and Ray spent the whole morning meeting and greeting everyone – stood for photo’s, signed autographs and made time for all the children –  true legends………

Special thanks to all the parents and children who came along, despite the weather.  Thank you to all the children for taking part and to all the parents for your endless support.  

 

To all our Coaches in the club (Adult, Underage Boys, Camogie, Ladies/Girls Football) - thank you for coming along so early to organise and mark out the pitch and for running off all the matches in tough weather conditions yesterday –  thanks a mill.

 

To all our fantastic volunteers who were on hand to assist with a huge amount of various jobs yesterday – thanks for helping to make this Family Morning an outstanding success.

 

And lastly a very important ‘thank you’  - Sincere thanks for all the food that was donated for the Club Family morning – and what a display of food it was!  From Mini Quiches, Sausage Rolls to Cakes, Buns, Sandwiches, Biscuits, Jellies, Chocolate – thank you so so much to everyone – it was an amazing response and surpassed all our expectations!

 

 

 

 

We would like to take this opportunity to say to………

 

All our Coaches (Adult, Underage Boys, Camogie, Ladies/Girls Football)from Under 6’s right up to Adult Players.  Your endless enthusiasm, energy and commitment to the club is awe-inspiring and above and beyond ‘the call of duty’.  The club certainly would not be in the fantastic place that it finds itself in today (now with 600 members) without your passion and dedication to coaching and mentoring our young stars of the future.  There can never be enough thanks for your constant loyalty to the club and your remarkable, unwavering commitment to all the children/adult players that you coach. THANK YOU ALL.   

 

All our Committee Members who serve on all the various committeeswithin Kinsale GAA â€“ your commitment to the club is incredible and is also ‘above and beyond the call of duty’.  You, as committee members are instrumental in shaping the future of our club and guiding it towards achieving all of its goals, especially the very hard job of fulfilling the clubs Financial Goals.  The various Committee’s also have the added responsibility of ensuring that Kinsale GAA Club will always remain a proactive and progressive club within the community and that it will continue to have a big presence in Kinsale and its surrounding area’s – the huge amount of work that you contribute to ensuring all of this is staggering.  THANK YOU ONE AND ALL.    

 

All our fantastic and amazing volunteers throughout the whole clubwho are just too numerous to mention - we are so incredibly lucky to have such dedicated, enthusiastic and giving people involved in our club -  ye all rock guys – well done.  And not just for the Club Family Day yesterday, but for all the countless hours put in over this season and past seasons – THANK YOU.

 

Special  mention to our â€˜Sunday Desk Ladies’ who weren’t on duty yesterday but who have been on duty every Sunday over the 2015 Season!  Big thanks to Catherine Moynihan, Louise Loughnane, Marie Lovell, Deirdre Murray, Emma O Callaghan.

 

All our First Aiders in particular Deirdre Murray and Padraig McGillicuddy.

 

And of course our now famous Club Café Ladies – Carol O Callaghan and Colette Kelleher who’s delicious brownies and buns we all look forward to every Sunday!

The Kinsale GAA Long Term Player Development Coaching Manual:

Attached with this email is the clubs new LTPD Coaching Manual which we also launched on Sunday with Jimmy and Ray during our Family Morning.  We would invite everybody to have a look through this manual – as well as all of the important coaching information, there are some lovely club photos throughout and at the back of the manual.

Again, many thanks to all those involved in preparing this Manual for publication – from the initial idea, through many discussions and decisions, to the fantastic end product that you see today.

Collecting Plates, Tupperware etc after yesterday’s Family Morning:

All plates, Tupperware, biscuit tins etc are in the kitchen area of the clubhouse and can be collected from there.  The clubhouse should be open most evenings during training for the various groups.  It will definitely be open from 4.45pm to 5.45pm during Underage Girls Football Training. And as always during Sunday morning training 11am to 12.15pm.

 

Club Development Draw Tickets:

Don’t forget the Ladies Football will have Club Development Draw Tickets on Sale during training times (as above) if you are interested in supporting this club fundraiser.   These tickets will also be available during Sunday morningtraining sessions. Or, alternatively, you can also contact any of the names on the Flyer attached above. Or, reply you’re interest in purchasing a ticket to this email address!
