Additional Information:

As you may be aware we have partnered with Pieta House to roll out the Mind Ur Buddy programme within our clubs and with this we would like to draw your attention to the Pieta House Flagship fundraising & awareness event, now into its 7th year, Darkness into Light. On May 9th, 100,000 people across 3 continents will walk together in a bid to raise awareness of the issues of suicide and self-harm both in Ireland and abroad.

The concept of DIL is a simple one, a 5km walk that starts at 4.15am in the dark of night and finishes just as the day is breaking. This journey symbolises a client’s journey through Pieta where we guide them away from the darkness of suicide and into the light. It is the ultimate symbol of hope and solidarity.

In 2015, there will be a record number of locations to take part, 80 in total. 62 of these will be in Ireland, in 28 different counties. A full list of all the venues can be found here

We would be grateful if you could forward this email to your club members and encourage participation in such a worthy event.

Should you have any queries in relation to the Mind Ur Buddy programme please do not hesitate to contact me.

Warm Regards
