About

Welcome to the Kilmichael GAA Website, where we aim to keep you informed on our club's activities. We are a Hurling & Football Club situated in the Muskerry division of County Cork. We currently field teams in both Hurling & Football from Junior A all the way down to Under 10 with our underage sides competing in the Western Region under the stewardship of RebelOg. Kilmichael GAA is amalgamated with Uibh Laoire GAA to form Western Gaels GAA for Under 15, Under 16 & Minor.

The story of the GAA in Kilmichael parish is almost as old as the story of the GAA itself. The GAA, as most people know, was founded in Thurles in 1884. What is less well known is that the first activities to take place in Kilmichael parish, under the banner of the GAA, occurred just ten days after the auspicious events in Thurles. We have come a long way since then.

We were lucky enough to build a new Clubhouse adjacent to our two playing fields in Annahala a couple of years ago. We now have four dressing rooms, a Gym hall, meeting room, Referee's Room, Shop, First Aid Room & a kitchen all under the one roof which has seen great use since it was officially opened in 2011 by Conor Counhihan.

Our club has a dedicated Committee who look after the running of the club who meet on a regular basis. We have a Club Lotto which runs every week by the Lotto Committee. The Lotto is the main source of fundraising for the club. It is drawn weekly starting at €1,000 and increasing weekly by €150 to a maximum of €15,000. We also have bonus prizes of €50 and three prizes of €25. Our weekly results can be found on our Lotto page on this website.
