The County Committee met on February 26th 2019.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and adopted.

Regarding Páirc  Chaoimh, the Chairperson said immediate remedial works would start almost immediately with a view to having the pitch in good condition for the Munster Championships, and that a full replacement of the pitch, along with associated works, would begin after those championships concluded.

Correspondence from Fr. Tom McDermott regarding playing games on Easter Saturday was read and noted.

The Runaí read out reports on inter-county games, and a delegate raised the performance of the Senior Football team, which he felt should be discussed. The Chairperson said that that was a discussion for another day given that our players and management still had some important games ahead in the Allianz League, but that she shared the concern of delegates on this matter.

The progress report was proposed and seconded. The Runai gave a report on Congress, and the Cathaoirleach reported that Jerry O'Sullivan (Cloyne) had informed the Executive that he wished to seek a nomination to run for Uachtarán, to which the Executive had agreed. Good wishes were passed on to Jerry for his campaign.

It was reported that advertisements and job specs were being finalised for the first two appointments to be made under the #2024 Cork Football Plan, the project co-ordinator and high performance director, which would be advertised shortly.
