Role of Development Squad Administrator

Reporting to:  Five person Development Squad Management Committee

This post has been created to establish Cork as the foremost county in terms of the development of players from U14 to U17. This post requires high quality organisational, management and coaching skills.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1.       To provide the major influence within the Development squad System through an energetic and inspiring approach allied to effective communication and organisational skills.

2.      Oversee all aspects of the programme to include the development of a technical coaching programme to be used by squad coaches.

3.      Overall responsibility for the co-ordination of all fixtures on behalf of the Development squads including all arrangements for same.

4.      Assist the Development Squad Management Committee in the recruiting of high calibre coaches and selectors to operate within the Development squad structure.

5.      Assist the Development Squad Management Committee in the establishment and maintenance of a countywide network of scouts and schools liaison personnel on behalf of the Development Squads.

6.      Ensure gear is appropriately purchased, maintained and cleaned.

7.      Ensure all coaching equipment is purchased and maintained appropriately.

8.      To maintain a database of all player details and their involvement with development squads.

9.      To effectively manage the annual budget assigned to development squads and to ensure all teams operate within agreed parameters. All Finance will be administered through the Cisteoir of Coste Na nÓg.

10.   To effectively liaise with the Strength and Conditioning Coach so as to ensure proper delivery of an effective strength and conditioning programme for all players within the development squad system.

11.    Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested from time to time by the monitoring Committee Representatives
